The backstory...

What do pizza, jogging, real estate, funny sounding names, software and the “Blackberry Syncing” dance have in common? They all play crucial role in how Uneefide (funny sounding name) came to be developed and why. You could say it started with Tim Self watching his friend Fred explain how easy it was to synchronize his files between his home computer and the office. That was the first appearance of the “Blackberry Syncing” dance. Or you could say it all came about over pizza as we thought of a better, simpler way to get my files to you - and your files to me - without a degree in software engineering.  And the miles we ran talking about “drag and drop” and “logins” and “social networks”.  In the end it was the vision of two very different people with one goal. An easier way to manage the information on your computer, a simpler way to share that information with others, and a compelling reason to “want to”. .

We think we have succeeded. There may be bigger, cooler and better advertised “file synchronization” programs around, but we don’t think there is one that is as easy and powerful. Easy enough for your Mother to install and use... powerful enough that your children will fight you for the chance to share with their friends.  Simple enough that you can share it with friends and not become their new technical support person... with enough horsepower to handle the most robust contact list. And most importantly, we built this with the small and independent business person in mind.  That is where the real estate comes in.  After 15 years watching hard working REALTORS struggle with keeping their clients updated, informed and current - we really wanted to give them an application that they could brand and share.

This is LaunchPad.

What is it...

    At its core LaunchPad is a document management system that allows you to share information just like a social network - without the need for daily status updates, logins, uploads and embarrassing photos. LaunchPad is on your computer and allows you to share a space on your computer - a private space full of information - with another computer. It can be another one of your computers allowing you to keep in sync with your work or it can be a client’s computer allowing you to keep them current, collaborate on projects or send new information. Combined with the ability to “Personalize” each application with your own identity (We call this Branding if you are a REALTOR) LaunchPad allows you to share any file, website or photo with 1 or 10 people. And once you share a DeskSpace and it is accepted - everything you put in that shared DeskSpace is now shared with them. No need to upload, login or send an attachment with your email.

    LaunchPad was built and designed to allow you to more easily and effectively manage the task of keeping your self and your clients up to date and in sync.
